Who will be our guide/driver? The owners of Trail of '98 Tours will be your guide and driver - Tom or Michele.
What should I wear for the tour? Wear comfortable shoes. You may want to bring or wear a rain jacket. Dressing in layers is advised because it can be cool in the morning and warm up during the day. Depending on the sun, wind, and elevation, temperatures can vary while on tour.
What time does the tour depart? With so many different ship arrival and departure times we will work with your schedule. Departing between 8:00am and 9:00am will keep you in the large bus and train traffic and possible lines at customs border crossing.
Are passports needed for the tour? Yes, passports are required. We will be crossing through Canada Customs and U.S. Customs. You can have a passport book, passport card, or some states have the enhanced driver's license. Some countries require a Visa to enter. For minors - If only one parent is travelling with the children, or if you are travelling with minors for whom you are not the parent or legal guardian, we recommend you carry a consent letter to provide authorization for you to take them on a trip and enter Canada.
Where will we meet you for the tour? Proceed through the secured area by your ship. We will be holding a sign "Trail of Ninety-eight Tours".
What type of vehicle are we touring in? You will be in comfortable mini-bus not a van. It has large viewing windows, individual seats, automatic door, handrails for easy exit/entry, PA system, seat safety belts, and rear dual wheels for added safety. Click here to view the mini-bus.
Can two people book/take the tour? Yes, we have taken just two people. Although, the more people you have the less the price is per person. We have a flat rate for the bus. It is the same rate for 2 people or 14 people. This is a private tour.
What does Private Tour mean? The mini-bus is just for you and your family/friends. We do not combine you with others to fill the bus. We will customize the tour just for you. There is no hourly rate. We will go at your pace so if you need more time, no problem and no extra cost. We don't want you watching the clock, but to sit back and have fun. This is your day to enjoy!
How do we reserve the tour? Fill out the contact us form. We will get back to you within 24 hours. We will send you an invoice to pay online. Once payment is made, you will receive a confirmation email of the tour. Tour is not guaranteed until payment is received.
Our other option to book: We can give you a call and get your credit card information to reserve. We will not charge your card until 24 hours before the tour. Once reserved, you will receive a confirmation email with details on the tour. When we process your credit card you will receive an email receipt.

We do not charge a reservation fee. It is a rare occurrence, but if your ship does not make it into port, we will be notified and there will be no charge. You are booking directly with the owners, not a broker thousand miles from Skagway, Alaska.
